Red-tailed hawks, I believe (the screams fit)—circling over a field. I'm thinking that talons extended probably indicates active hunting? (March 9, North Bottomlands Loop, HBRA.)

Yesterday was possibly the warmest yet this year, and we took advantage with an afternoon hike on what we call our "river loop" out at Buford/Pisgah park.

Glorious afternoon today out in the soon-to-be-full-lake-again (Fern Ridge Reservoir). Water level significantly higher today than on Monday. Spotted many pelicans and geese, a few marsh wrens, lots of ducks, a couple mergansers, a clump of distant cormorants, a northern harrier, and a fighter jet.
