I have become uncomfortably numb
Even if the continuity resets, it can be forgivable if I enjoy the ride. That all said, there needs to be some resolution to the plot. Even if that resolution is that there will never be a resolution. The Inception movie ends but leaves a question hanging in the air.

Marvel has put out quite a few milquetoast miniseries recalling old periods in continuity that basically were mediocre at best and went nowhere. Other books are fun at first but after a while they become a slog to read. I’d rather they try something different or give us a new or underused character.

On the other hand I absolutely loved the Jonah Hex book that ran for years with @jimmypalmiotti.bsky.social and Justin Gray writing it. With the exception of I think a 6 issue arc, there was no real impactful continuity. Each issue was self contained and it was nice to not be tied to continuity.

Here’s the thing:
My major gripe with event books is that the continuity doesn’t really get affected all that much and it’s basically just reset to where the event began. Not all but often. At times it seems the MCU has affected the books more than some of the plots to books. I get the why to that.

Ancient Dreams, Nightfall and Tales of Creation were always my favorites. They stand out more Messiah’s voice than much else.

The pics are a nice break from the harsh truths you dole out. It’s your feed and we’re all here for it.

Same. I avoided the news mostly since ‘16. Can’t miss the big stuff but I just can’t absorb it like I did with the Bush & Obama administrations. My blood pressure can’t take the rage anymore.
