I'm happy to have gotten some social and community related work done, and also fit in an errand that'll let me fix another pair of pants with failing drawstring.
It's not in a fun colour like the last pair I did (pictured here), but it's serviceable and from a local shop.

Bathroom window is one thing away from being refinished! (Caulk)
You can see the actual parts I have not touched pretty clearly now.

I'm delighted that the daffodils I received last year from a neighbour with an overabundance are coming up happily 😊
Can't wait until there's more!

Sometimes activism is community support and giving hugs, building community events to bring joy, and also fixing things in my home, like the bathroom window.

Light switch plate is stained and sealed! Once it's fully dry, I'll be putting it back up and moving onto the bathroom window.

Bad brain day today/this weekend.
Forced self to go do a social and get outside, and am cooking with bread in the oven right now.
Thank goodness for all the coping tools and body doubling rn!

This is an extremely unglamorous photo but I am quite excited to have kimchi to eat soon!

And sometimes self care is continuing to call your rep, and managing to finish this doorknob install that ran into little snags at every step!

Sometimes activism (and cyclist frustration relief) is putting in a city maintenance request for this pile of mess:

Brain bad but kimchi is ready to ferment. (And I can't wait for it)

Wanted to share a small joy of a very lush and happily rebounding potted plant, just over a year after a move that it didn't super enjoy
February 5, 2025 at 5:07 PM
Small pieces of joy: getting to observe bird neighbours eating on the flower seed heads we left intact for winter, and roof gutter bathing friends.

That wonky time between major December holidays is (oddly enough) actually great for just being distracted and enjoying cheese, also for standing up and going to so some cleaning and small renovations

We've been developing a tradition of yearly ornaments making. This year's theme for the ornament is Frog and Toad.
December 27, 2024 at 4:02 PM
A (very weird) pigeon delight!
December 13, 2024 at 9:28 PM
Today we cook and enjoy the last few leaves outside as winter arrives.

Also all of the house chores :p

Medical bureaucracy continues to be rubbish in my quest to find a needed med that does not contain lactose/cow milk.

Have a lovely view instead.
