No, two months of winter are not being added to the schedule. At most 3 weeks. If you want to have an honest conversation, it helps to be honest.

Also, do you think it is a great fan experience watching players suffer while sitting in boiling heat watching a game in the summer? I know cold is no fun. But let's not pretend heat is fine. Or do you only care about fans in the north?

But it isn't two months. The league will be shut down in December and January. Opening day was February 22 this year. MLS Cup is Dec 5th.

Sure. But the worst months will not be scheduled. Just like the current schedule, February games in the north will be minimized and July in the south will be minimized.

The division alignment is exactly what they are planning. The reason to switch to a fall/spring schedule is mostly about being able to acquire and sell players in the summer window for maximum effect. Deals are too difficult when you are trying to sell in the middle of MLS or Erope season.

That was a Senate promise, not a promise by the House. Dems don't expect it to pass. They want Senators on record with a vote so they can bludgeon them during an election year.

My point is that you were implying Mike Johnson was already going back on the GOP promise. He was not, because that promise had no House involvement.

There does not seem to be much appetite amongst any of the conservatives of SCOTUS to re litigate this issue, surprisingly. As you have said, if it does come to again it would have to be a far better argument than Kim Davis presented.
