I guess he had a right to be grumpy about his aches and pains. A few more visitors to the ground-level bird bath before I pack up the wildlife camera in anticipation of tomorrow rain!
The Gray Fox is enjoying a sip of water with its ears pulled back and beautiful brown eyes open. This raccoon seems a little too big for the bath, but is cooling off and getting a drink and a bath anyway. The Greater Roadrunner is back, and no wonder at 105°F! I love the colors on its head. It seems suspicious of the camera.

More than two and a half years after visiting Perth WA 🦘where @winglis_torres did research 🌊for a while, I bought an aborigine designed tablecloth because we didn’t have time to go to a fabric store because we were on our way to attend @_nickxu and @michellexpan ’s wedding celebration 🍾in Sydney, and then searching skirt patterns with @juliorlandini ‘s help, I finally carved out some time to start making the skirt only to discover I didn’t have enough elastic and now that JoAnn’s is closed 😡I ordered from Etsy and the elastic won’t arrive for a couple of days but I do have a USPS 📪tracking number for it, but in the meantime I am doing what I can even though I thought I made a mistake with the waistband so ripped out triple stitching only to discover that I had actually done it correctly to begin with but then decided I liked my way better so changed it yay and then made two scrunchies with extra fabric which I can enjoy until the elastic arrives and I can actually finish the skirt.

Came home from a fantastic trip to Seattle to an estimated 9-11” rain, very tall grass, a greeting from this adorable alligator lizard hiding between the rain buckets, and a red wasp sting. Ouch. Listen for the Painted Bunting, not yet migrated south.
