Shockingly no heat needed but that does help when the tape is older or more set into the page.
I’m going to do some dry method tear seals on this one for practice. The cover is TATTERED!!!

The Incredible Hulk #114 - Cleaned, sealed and pressed!
Unfortunately some ink washed off along with the staining, but that’s to be expected with these older books, especially in areas with heavy attrition like that bottom right corner.

Here’s a centrefold that detached from its staples.
I’ve used wheat paste and tengujo paper to realign / reinforce the torn fibres. These materials make the process reversible too!

I do! It ain’t light! Just moved from Ottawa to Vancouver and decided to lug my collection along for safety. I had to bring these three shorties into each hotel along the way 😂 it was a workout.
