I think maybe EVENTUALLY Sonic will warm up to Scourge a bit enough to want to actually be around him but there will still always be a lingering feeling of disdain when Sonic looks at Scourge. They’ll never fully/truly have the dynamic Scourge wants them to have

I hope this makes sense and doesn’t seem too ooc. I have like, their dynamic in my head but idk 100% how to put it into words. Sonourge but one sided and lowkey toxic

He ends up wondering what he’s still doing wrong, he thinks about what else he could do to make Sonic look and talk to him the way he does with Shadow. He wants what they have SO badly but all his attempts at playful rivalry get shut down

Scourge would try to make playful quips during their fights but Sonic just glares & snarls at him, trying to fight as quickly as he can so he can get away from him & Scourge gets genuinely mad/upset afterwards bc he’s already doing what he can to be ‘reformed’ & show he’s not a threat anymore (+)
