"stood up for the soccer fans in an unjust soccer system in the United States"

Unjust? C'mon man. Seriously. He compared Don Garber to Harvey Weinstein.

Aren't they partnering up with Carolina Core FC for the time being. Baltimore's soccer stadium won't be built in a day.

Except the millions that actively tune in to watch.

USL doesn't share revenue from TV deals, sponsors either.

Which is...not ideal.

USL’s central ownership structure creates challenges for clubs – here’s how they’re trying to make money anyway
Even as the USL adds investment and looks to evolve on the field, a privately held LLC soaks up the earnings.

USL ran indoor/amateur soccer leagues 30 years ago. The USL of today is very much different than in 1995.

Good luck to the ones who are making the trek to see the North Jersey Cosmos.

The more realistic picture is NWSL taking the training wheels off than USLSL overspend themselves into oblivion.
December 9, 2025 at 2:28 PM
Which USLSL teams are spending as much as NWSL teams though? Where are the domestic and international stars? NWSL has the decade headstart. USLSL does have the inexpensive expansion fees, however that didn't curb NWSL expansion at all.
December 9, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Overspending on aged European players like Raul and Marcos Senna into oblivion was part of the problem.

That with renting minor league stadiums, et cetera can see why they ran an unsustainable business.
December 9, 2025 at 2:05 PM
Ultimately that type of mismanagement and overspending is what killed the NASL, no?

When Trump mentioned the Cosmos, what USL should do is announce pro/rel right NOW.

If Trump announces he will take over US Soccer Federation and installs Elon Musk as President of the USSF and promotion and relegation I will vote for him in 2028!
