found some more old art, this is from 2017. i made postcards to sell at gamefest that year, but they weren't very popular. i don't understand why. is this not the crossover everyone has been begging for??

a very rough 3-panel comic strip. ebenezer scrooge leans out his window and says "You there, lad! What day is it?" a small boy, seen from above flips the bird and shouts "FUCK YOU OLD MAN! It's Make A Terrible Comic Day!" ebenezer is still at his window, now scribbling on some sheets of paper. "Then there's still time! ...there's still time..." all of this is drawn very very quickly and not refined much at all, and it shows, especially in the last panel.

we planted our halloween pumpkins, and alot of them came up! i'd never grown them before, they're really neat plants.
how it started, etc.

i wasn't sure if the lollypop sticks would work out, so i left most of the pipes pretty plain. here's a few of the fancier ones. the glaze on the one with stripes is hard to see, it's a nifty green-brown. i'll try to get a better shot of it later but you might have to just believe me.
three porcelain pipes on a metal turn-table in some grass. one has green and brown glaze between unglazed stripes. the glaze on another is a smooth gradient from light blue through dark blue to black, and has white unglazed square shapes floating upward from the bowl, which is light blue inside. the third is all smooth white porcelain except an oval shape where rust colored scales or ridges are exposed. the same pipes in different positions.

in the past i made pipes by forming the stems around the handle of small paintbrushes, but i recently picked up a bunch of lollypop sticks to use instead. @yambam.bsky.social suggested i make a little melty snack to stick one in, and this is the result.
i chipped it a little drilling out the hole =(

unloaded the kiln this past weekend, but it took til now to finally get a few halfway decent pics of the stuff.. i'd forgotten how difficult it is to photograph a bunch of little white cylinders in a way that looks at all like anything.
they're more fun in person.
