Haven't played fortnite in ages. Even then I barely played it in the past. Played it tonight for first time in an age, and first match died instantly. Second match, victory royale with literal 1HP left. I'll take it.

I'm sure it'll ultimately be more live service fuckery, but I'm cautiously excited for Marvel Rivals. After watching Overwatch get worse over the years and every other game crash and burn, it'd be nice to have a new entry that actually succeeds.

I miss trophies in Smash Bros. Spirits were cute, but there was something so fun and enjoyable about the 3D trophies in prior Smash games. Must have been a ton of work, so can understand why they were cut, but they were so cool.

Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is just £3 on steam in the sales. Actually decided to pick it up and see how it really is.

Typically my WWE Network subscription renews on Thursday, just a few days before Survivor Series, it being the last live event I'll need the Network for. Obviously no need to keep it going once the Netflix era begins in January.

Still clinging to unlikely hope that SE will stealth drop Theatrhythm on Steam. Love the games, but it being PS4/5 locked to me when I do 99% of gaming on PC these days is a shame.

WWE games are super overwhelming these days. So many modes, so many methods of play and requirements for unlocking things. Doesn't help that I feel like I'm just terrible at the game lmao. But I'm having fun at least, that's a first in a WWE game in years.

A little late, but decided to pic up WWE 2K24 since it was on sale through Humble for £14. Really not expecting a ton, and honestly wish another developer was in charge, but it's cheap enough dipping is worth it.

Ended up picking up Balatro to see what the fuss is about having eyed it up for a while anyway. It's perfectly fine, but way overblown nominating it for Game of the Year.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree being nominated for multiple awards including Game of the Year at #TheGameAwards is absurd. It's fantastic as DLC, but the base game already had its time shine and now lazy DLC classification is taking spots from other deserving games.

I feel like I've somewhat got myself backed into a corner with my YouTube content. I'm so flattered and happy that I'm nearing 5k subs now, but ultimately it's all because of FFXIV. So I feel like I can't really do anything *except* FFXIV. Even when I streamed FFXVI I lost subs.

These moderation options are great. I just hope the clowns are consistently tagged and they just fade away by default. Will be huge if it works properly.

It's also crazy to still follow and see faces from the days of ONM. That was 18 years ago now and it sounds insane even saying that yet here we are.

So far Bluesky almost feels like coming full circle for me. My early days of twitter were when I dabbled in journo stuff and I got to know some incredible people in the vg industry. And I find myself following a lot of those same people here on Bluesky. It's oddly comforting.

Installed Bluesky on my phone in an attempt to shift over to using it more. Still a little on the fence, and having very little following makes it feel a little pointless, but I guess these things take time.

It's insane how ahead of its time Assassin's Creed Unity really was. Still looks better than most recent AC games and at this point it's 11 years old.

Recently upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 7 5800X to a Ryzen 9 5950X and the difference is staggering on the highest end games. My PC was having a rough time with Dragon Age Veilguard at 4K, hitting around 30FPS but now it's hovering nicely around 60FPS, even with RT on.

Tried buying some Surging Sparks to fish for the Spheal Illustration Rare, but little luck so far. Got gorgeous Phanpy and Skarmory cards, but Spheal nowhere to be seen. I'll just nab one on eBay eventually #PokemonTCG

Decided I'd try a #ResidentEvil4 randomiser I'd seen on Twitch earlier this morning with 3x enemy multiplier among the random elements. Didn't even make it past the initial village section, it's insanity.
