It does take place on land, but all creatures are inspired by marine animals. The main character is based on a sea slug!

Thanks for the feedback! Reminds me of Subnautica, which wasn't made to be a horror game, but became very well known for a lot of scary encounters. Glad to know I can create moments of tension like this in my game 🙂
