I ran d&d over the weekend, this time in a Lost Tomb, so it wa a dungeon crawl with slow reveals and lots of angry ghosts! A great time was had. I really enjoyed making a battle map that looked like gold streaked marble.

Ran the conclusion to one of the chapters in the current campaign I'm running. It was a delight making this board, made all the more satisfying when they all looked at it and I hit play on the music only to here them all gasp and go "oh no, boss music, we're screwed..."

Holiday encounter round 2! This time they fought the Yule Cat, featuring Even More Mimics! Both present mimics and wreath mimics, while a bunch of terrified myconids ran around in confusion in the Neverlight Grove. Good times.

A battle in the underdark, beneath the roots of a zurkwood tree grove, inside the lair of a pukei-pukei! This was a harrowing battle, the bard came super close to being eaten but managed to crawl out of this ambush predator's gullet and get the killing blow!

One of the bigger set pieces I've made, the obelisk encounter in the Whorlstone Tunnles! A climatic fight deserving of a big layout. The players absolutely crushed it, it was delightful.

Players fought Krampus for their first holiday spent underdark. I enjoyed flipping a coin to determine if each present was or was not a mimic before they drove the Krampus off with holiday carols.

A fun encounter I got to run last year in November! Players fought kuo-toa in the underdark just as a terrible ritual was completed, summoning the Demogorgon. Good times were had!
