Flan picks the bill up. Seeing the total at ₱3921, she’s worried and sweating. Flan and Tort continue to walk through the bazaar. “Being broke sucks” Flan laments, looking tired “Yeah” replies Tort as he fiddles with the last of their supply fund Flan grabs Tort by the collar, shaking him lightly as she complains “I work so hard but all my money goes to taxes!! And bills!! Then taxes AND bills!!!” “Money can’t buy happiness?” Replies Tort trying to console her “SILENCE!!!” Flan exclaims as she shakes Tort harder “I know money can’t buy happiness! But it can buy… sniff sniff”, Flan abruptly stops as she smells a delicious waft coming from off screen “FOOD!!” Flan yells as she runs off with a particularly fish-shaped sparkle in her eyes. Tort gets up and chases after her while calling out “Flan!! Wait up!”

I saved up for this for soo loooong!!!” Tort catches up, unamused at the blatant lie, “It’s my money” Flan ignores him, “SOOOOO LOOOOONG!!!” The potion seller, a bit annoyed, pulls out and hands over a flask with a bright orange potion, “Fine!! Fin. Here’s a potion of… uhhh… multivitamins.” “Yes!! We’ll take it!!!” Says Flan, with sparkles in her eyes hands over a handful of coins Tort, horrified she’d spend their whole supply budget, screams out “MY MONEY!!!” “Mission Accomplished!” Says Flan, proud of herself “My money…” says a crying Tort, still incredulous she’d blow the whole budget on one potion Flan follows up, “It’s bubblegum flavor!!”

Tort is counting coins, “This is our supply budget.” Flan’s interest is piqued, a sparkle in her eye, “with this money, I can buy…” “POTION OF STRENGTH” Flan’s imagination takes over. She poofs into a chad muscle-y version of her. “Muscles! Oh yeah!” Flan starts running off, excited to buy potions, “Nothing can stop me now!! I’ll be SO STRONG!” Tort yells out to her, “ you’ll blow our whole budget!” Flan ignores him continuing to run off laughing and screaming, “THE STRONGEST!! Nyehehehehehe” Flan arrives at the potion seller’s stand. The potion seller immediately swipes the potion she was about to grab saying, “NO. My potions are too strong for you, tiny one. You can’t handle them. Flan is distraught, “NOOOOOOOO!!”

Please don’t chew those…” Flan stands up urgently, trying to get Tort to join her party: “I require your magic cards, benevolent bird!!” Tort: “oh these? They’re not magic, magic! This is a competitive card game and the goal is to reduce your opponent’s life points from 100 to 0 by summoning a bunch of monsters in one turn, casually — mana and — estioning — system, making sure you watered the greebles — happiness — pettiness — each player’s turn …” (you get the point, flan’s also not listening) Flan slams the table in disappointment, cards flying everywhere: “NOOOOOOOOO!!! I’m a failure!! I’m going bankrupt! I’m going to jaaaaail!!!” Tort is taken aback but still relatively calm Tort pulls out an arnis stick: “i can fight with my sticks, though!” Flan, bombastically side-eyeing him: “you used SO MANY WORDS — you should’ve started with that!!!”
