Had a returning client bail out on a logo I already completed, because I told him my regular rates and got the same cartoonish reply you can imagine. This is in spite of telling him I was giving him a near 66% discount. Never start stuff unless you get something up front.

Last year was a big year of art improvement for me but I fell off super hard due to needing to focus on making money outside of my job. Recently locking down a consistent gig that I think will be safe, so 2025 might be our year to get better in a more meaningful way.

Finished Metaphor ReFantazio. Loved the story, characters, and the visuals. But I've gotta admit the game feels incredibly bloated especially towards the back half: The grind feels arbitrary and forced and the final boss was a terror, had to switch modes to get thru it. Felt stat checked often.
