My point here is not that crime, racism, terrorism, pollution etc were all worse in the 70s but that the period 1973-77 in particular was one of crisis, paranoia and hysteria. People were talking about Britain going bankrupt or collapsing into dictatorship. There was a national nervous breakdown

It was never just about “protecting women & girls”, “fair sport” or “single-sex services”.
It’s about denying trans people any right or ability to live as their authentic selves.
