I’m doing an LFC season, then an LFC women’s season, then I’ll start my main, lower league save.

I’ve got a third replay planned in the near future, honestly.

Yeah, I like it. I feel like seasons move that little bit quicker. I love the in-and-out-of-possession formations. The match engine is a huge step up, I don’t care what anyone says. I much prefer the delivery of info during matches too. Much clearer how my team’s performing.

Like, it’s definitely buggy, and that’s not great given the extra year of development, so that’s fair game, but I don’t think any of the UI or system changes are for the worse.

It’s so weird. It’s funny how most series get criticism if they don’t change much from release to release, and FM, known for not going overboard on year-to-year changes, gets criticism for doing exactly that.

It's also the first I've played FM on my TV rather than my laptop other than playing the Switch port of older entries. Tried controller mode yesterday, which is largely decent, but things got a bit sticky on press-conferences and I had to resort to a keyboard. Pretty sure they'll fix that.

The FGC has exactly 3 discourses and all the negative takes are always laser-focused on the one game that always does numbers in tournaments and streams both big and small, and has a massive, active player base. All those people enjoying it are definitely wrong.
