On monitor resolution: I have a 4K monitor simply because text scaling is nice.

Yeah I've not had any issues with UK CDs but you gotta be careful buying old CDs from abroad. I have a Royksopp CD from Japan, with Cactus Data Shield, which sucks. Means I have to live with the pirated download I had even though I would like to rip my CD.
