Interestingly, this little beetle is tackling the Chinese privet, a major invasive plant in the region. An interesting trait of this Chrysomelidae, is that is develop as a leafminer in its host.

In a recent article in Florida Entomologist, Michael Ulyshen from USDA service, and his colleagues, reported that Argopistes tsekooni a flea beetle from Asia, was now making its mark in the southeastern U.S.
