Today I was able to meet one of the prosecutors who, together with Fritz Bauer, conducted the first #Auschwitz trial in Frankfurt from 1963 to 1965. It was a huge honor to hear Gerhard Wiese talk about his life as a German soldier, his Russian captivity and the trial! #NeverForget

end of the Western Roman Empire, I'd put it at 395 AD. After the death of Theodosius the Empire was split up and the Western part could never recover which culminated in the sacking of Rome in 410 AD by Alaric.
