i dispair at the US health system and im terrified at what people want to do to us in the UK, my health costs are 3k a year at the moment. I live 11 miles from Chester in the UK

my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer 12 years ago here in the UK, her treament for 18 months was free on the NHS, some people are determinded that we be like the USA health system, i hope we never do.

christ id never thought about this, born 66, i remeber as kids roaming for the whole day but it was a quiet cheshire village, still got sexual assalted age 13 though

just to also point out, i know people who retired 15 years ago and are now on 45k, for me its almost not worth working, i have 42 years PAYE

ive recent gone from 46k a year to 64k a year in the UK, my tax has gone up by a lot, net pay is up a relative amount

i saw this happen with a Romanian guy we had imployed, brilliant worker but after 3 years he had lost 25% of his wages with the state of the pound, he left.

i was outside the radiation blocks when it was turned on obvs. Inside with it on you would be taking a lethal dose pretty quick

id say around 20 meters for these systems, the energy is quite low without much beam control, nasty systems that generate lots of residual radiation, they have to have good up time

its a heated cathode electron source with accelration through high votage with magnet scanning to trace the tv screen, radio therapy for cancer is pretty much the same thing but a few meters bigger.
