Agreed. A lot of work is only possible because of that isolated, regulated bubble…but there absolutely needs to be more public input/voices. It’s just not sustainable otherwise. The media enviro is gods awful atm, but academia needs to take podcasts, YouTube, etc more seriously to counter the slop.
