I was so sad when it was necessary to cut down one of the two big trees in the front yard. Glad it occurred to me that I could ask the arborists to leave the stump at about waist high, so that it could support the "hydration station"

Maybe if I had had some really wide black lace, though that would be a very different aesthetic than the rest of the dress... what I ended up using was a small scrap of the same black silk noil that all the tiger trapezoids were printed on. I may yet print something onto that 2 1/2" wide blank piece
