I presume the Fed can't keep increasing its balance sheet forever & am unclear on what that end will look like. I am certain whenever this ends, we will look back and say "it was so obvious this was going to happen"

The joys of @ups continue. Eventually their Facebook account replied & fixed my address. But, they won't ring my doorbell. When I try to create an account to add more specific instructions, I get a blank page... it's as if no one QAs their web portal...

6/ My conclusion is that nuclear power can be safe, if we continue to refine the designs incorporating what we have learned. Unfortunately the learning rate for nuclear reactors is extremely long and we aren't building many more in the West.

5/ I came across a notable counter-example in the Hunterston B Power Station with a different reactor design, an Advanced Gas-Cooled Reactor, that suffered a similar set of calamities but could remain stable without cooling for 20 hours....
