A page from a woman called Mrs Winn’s diary in 1870, I’ve got five of her diaries and it feels such an honour to have them in my possession. I collect handwritten diaries and cookbooks because I love social history. It’s like a kind of time travelling magic that I never grow tired of.

The gods of Autumn have abandoned us, Winter is here.

Today I don’t feel like adulting. I think it’s the British weather. I want to curl up on the sofa and read books (I was a fun child) and have snacks and naps delivered at regular intervals.
