And if you're in Atlanta, support the many people swept up in the state's RICO on May 14th. Criminalizing protest is a huge part of the fascist playbook, but we fight it (in part) by showing up for our comrades:

A forest defender was killed by police, acres of land were buried under concrete, so much public money was wasted. But the fight against Cop City also lifted the veil on what policing actually is to so many people, not just in Atlanta but across the world. That is so incredibly valuable

the construction of Cop City hinged on a compliant media that repeated false police claims and framing, private funders who see expanded policing as a safeguard for their capital, and state actors willing to serve those interests without question. none of that is unique to Atlanta!
