I'm using GDScript, but I'm curious to look into C# too sometime.

Same here! I grew up with games like Spyro, Rayman 2 and Jak and Daxter. I started making this game as a love letter to my childhood. Getting such kind comments from other fans of this genre means a lot! It's called Fix'n'Craft, but I'll most likely change the title someday.

Oh yeah, it really feels like the community is growing quickly! You should definitely try it out. It's a great engine :'D

But there are some things from Unreal that I miss a lot, like the content browser. It feels much more managable than the file system in Godot :'D At the moment I feel like Godot is the right choice for me personally. But I might use Unreal again for future projects :)

I feel much better when I'm able to go out and be among friends while I work. So I kept playing around with the engine and in the end decided to switch. I like Unreal a lot. It has some incredible features, but it doesn't have anything I need for this game that Godot can't give me too.

I built a simple prototype and the performance was great. Also, the fact that Godot runs on my laptop is a huge deal for me. When I had to use my tower at home for everything, I felt super isolated all the time and that didn't do me well.

I started getting curious about Godot when I tested my Unreal builds on low-end hardware. It was unplayable, while similar games made using less heavy engines ran perfectly fine on the same system. That's when I decided to give Godot a try.
