I've never really mastered casting to the TV. If I want/need to watch on double speed I just do it on the android tablet

than anticipated. Some suitably manic performances and an interesting set up (till the aliens make it clear where part of the story will lead), the resolution/explanation for which I don't yet remember so, though I don't expect huge amounts of surprise tomorrow... yeah, more positive than expected.

Oh, so THAT'S how you do "fall out from the previous story" to create a sense these are real people. This is another one that I didn't remember much about before I put the first two parts on. Odd bits came back though, and Debbie Watling (so far) has been better

My New Avengers just turned up. The only way I could be more impressed would be for some sort of PDF archive but I guess we have been spoilt by Who and B7. Amazing set!

Tara works best when viewed in production order so you actually SEE her learning and improving. Broadcast order is so crucking random it removes all sense of continuity for the character

Nah, it's easy.

This is the interview I was looking at (few paragraphs down the first column), irritatingly AISAT doesn't give a source for the interview (well, not on a quick skim read of the stuff before it starts) but it definitely claims it's Newman's own words

Oh I know those well BUT I think I've found the source of "crotchety". Sydney Newman himself describes wanting the Doctor to be a "crotchety old bugger (any kid's grand-father)". I suspect people didn't want to deviate from Sydney's description, even if the series did.
