Owner of a ropey old 944, a ropey old Boxster, a broken V70, and a tidy GT86.
I added a new valve body to the mix & it pissed oil like it was water. Discussed with a local trusted mechanic and replaced the suspected seals and refitted. Pissed oil again. 5th time replacing the gearbox it showed that that input shaft seal was split. Stole the old oil pump housing and rebuilt

All went well until December 2022 where the gearbox just gave a big "nope" and lost all drive. I eventually replaced it with a used box but due to being an amateur I spooned the recoupling and damaged the gearbox oil pump so it failed again. I joined the two boxes together with a reseal kit

Mine was free back in 2008 due to it being a non runner and being firmly in the way. After a lot of money and an engine rebuild it's still a long long way from a good car

Buying a house to store them all in. Next focus is the 986 Boxster with a snapped anti roll bar bush bolt, then the 944 that has a lunched diff

That's an understatement

Oh if only it were dry! The dehumidifier told me the humidity is at 91 today. That explains why every car stored there becomes a mould factory.

I think I have an ABS module for an S60. I bought it off eBay to rob the motor off it for my V70

I've already got two sets for mine but thanks for thinking of me

Life is a bugger like that. I had a Porsche 944S that I'd solved all of the problems with other than a bit of rust. Turns out half the floor was trying to separate from the sills after a previous owner had it repaired poorly and I had to sell it off for dirt cheap

Mine is the last of the P2 D5s and has 185bhp but a mighty 400nm of torque so it does shift itself (when the gearbox works). If it proves to be reliable I'll probably be driving it to the French Alps in January for the fourth time. I've never had to change a turbo on a car thankfully

Thankfully this one has escaped any electrical gremlins other than a failed alarm battery. I would have rather done a clutch swap than having to make a franken gearbox from two autos

I'm here, lurking away. I don't use it that often though to be fair.

Oh my, that is lovely. Damn the fact I already have too many cars.

Switching the risk of death for the risk of indecent exposure. My man!

"why aren't you wearing any trousers?"

What do you think I am, some kind of maniac?

It also creates a nice new market of renting out your phone with said ID so they can obtain work while you get paid.

Sounds like a new design idea in the making. "Enraging fascists since..."
