I guess I also don't want to write off the actual work that real artists are doing just because they looked at an AI generated image for reference. That kinda feels, at least to me, like it's ignoring the human effort and creativity that went into the final piece.

Also this is such a minor detail and I don't mean to be a stickler like this, but Copilot is Microsoft, not Google. Google's A I slop thing is Gemini.

You've probably got a point, and NFTs were a good example I didn't consider.

I will say, complying in advance isn't the same as knowing that technology doesn't tend to go backwards. I know AI isn't going to go completely away, but that doesn't mean I'm going to willingly accept the harm it does.

The part that sucks the most is that this shit isn't just going to go away. It's too late for that. I guess I just hope it dies down in popularity. This "AI Bubble" can't pop soon enough.

They're still hiring the same amount of artists that they would be without generative AI. All this means is that they have to put in more work to find people.

There's worse ways to use AI than how this studio is.
The genie is not going back in the bottle, as much as we'd all like it to. AI is a thing, it exists. It sucks, but it's here. I prefer to save my anger for when studios directly use it to replace humans.
