The way the characters interact in the main story is so much more nuanced and interesting than them popping up in turns in the main screen tbh

I know people always say it wouldn't work out that way irl and yeah probably (irl ppl suck way worse at communication than fictional characters most times), but all the stuff I've read with this dynamic portrays it pretty realistically like "damn this is actually how a human would act here"
My fave fictional romance dynamic is "emotionally unhealthy person turns their partner also problematic and then unhealthy x unhealthy = super healthy" thank you trends in shoujo
