100 years ago people were sold the promise that technology would make everyone rich, decrease time at work, and create a better world.

Corporations are using it to extract more wealth while people are being forced out into poverty to do so.

I believe Halo became a little more annoying as a hole after it was reworked.

iirc Fossiltongues, Lavalord, and Lord of Lords were originally all Fish Eyes dependent with different timers.

300 GP ability that made certain fish catchable.

Timer was dependent on what fish it made available so you could tell which it unlocked if there were 2 in one hole.

For Opabinia you'd have to fish eyes, get 2 min to catch Proto-hropkin for int, and then get your Platinum for the Mooch.

It was already bad that he gave a platform to Shapiro and previously did with Kirk/Bannon so they could reach people that otherwise would never listen to them.

Now he's actively letting right wingers sanitize the messaging on ICE on his own show.

Can't believe people want this for president.

iirc much of the OT dialogue was rewritten with others (like his wife) or done on the spot by the actors.

PT showed that he's a great conceptual guy (Mustafar duel is pure cinema) but he couldn't write dialogue.

Filoni can do dialogue but he'll steamroll a story to get to a Mustafar scene.
January 16, 2026 at 12:31 AM
I could see all of that as a possibility.

I still think it was a really unnecessary film but it was at least fun. A shame the story wasn't finished with a sequel because it was good enough for one.

I replay the trial sometimes because it's just so peak.

I have my gripes with Endwalker's pacing, some narrative choices, and the organization of certain aspects of the story but this trial was truly outstanding.

Like did we really need to introduce time travel shenanigans into the lore to justify keeping his pet project character alive at the end of Rebels and continue to make her one of the most important characters of the OT era completely behind the scenes?

I say this as someone that loves Ahsoka btw.

I think Solo was fine but it was also just wholly unnecessary and tried to explain things that just didn't need explanation like his last name.

Overall I do enjoy the film, though.
January 15, 2026 at 11:21 PM
Yeah... Filoni should probably be an ideal guy and not in charge of everything.

He sets up great moments and usually good overarching narratives but he's so hyper fixated on certain characters and is willing to completely rewrite canon for them.

He needs someone above him to say no sometimes.

The ratio really isn't fine.

There will always be expensive collector pieces but LEGO are just plastic bricks.

I get licensing fees but there are tiny Spider-Man sets that are three minifigs and a small police car for $50.

They have to be losing sales over pricing by now.
January 13, 2026 at 7:51 PM
The problem is the price per piece model. We should judge it on price per ounce or gram.

A giant set could be 4,000 unique pieces with unique color shades.

A medium set could be 8,000 mass produced regular color pieces with instructions on how to make a licensed character.

Britain should have a right to restrict any app inside of their own boundaries.

That does not impact free speech in the United States because those laws will not apply to the United States.

FFXIV has separate servers for China with different rules. Doesn't impact my speech on a global server.
January 9, 2026 at 2:21 PM
Remember Twitter is very pro free speech. Unless you use the historical/scientific designation "cis-" to describe something or someone. That's hate speech. For reasons.

Also absurd that the notion of a country restricting an app inside of their own borders could lead to retaliation.
January 9, 2026 at 2:20 PM
Correct. If you actually view the images in the US intentionally to get the links to put in the Google report you have broken federal and state laws on cp content.

Hell of a Catch 22 isn't it?

You can't report it without seeing it, you can't see it without breaking the law yourself.

So you're saying we should buy the dip.

Just an FYI for all that Flag as Inappropriate is very light reporting for Google Play.

A better report is through their link to report illegal content.

Technically speaking it would simply need medical textbook photos and legal adult pornographic material to make guesses at what to generate.

However, that doesn't change that it's absolutely appalling that there are zero safeguards to prevent it from generating these images on demand.
January 8, 2026 at 11:55 PM
This means that you are unable to submit this report as Google wants without literally getting Twitter links to cp content to put on the form.

If anyone can stomach it, this is the webpage.
