It genuinely moves me to tears right this minute I will ALWAYS support workers first and foremost. I didn't think you're being an ass you're in an a vulnerable state that you shouldn't even have to be in. If you would like I will delete my other message with information. But to address more of what you said directly, I'm genuinely so sorry you're having to go through this strike at all. I feel you so much on needing money badly, I can only imagine, I know what it's like to decide hunger is what's for dinner because you can't afford to eat twice in a day

I won't hammer my point though, I don't work in the union. As for the history of them I am unfortunately very well aware. Union laws are written in blood and often required action to pass them that shouldn't have happened at all period, child labor shouldn't exist at all.

To reply to the rest of what you said I still feel like negotiating shouldn't be acceptable. I understand the Union is always the underdog against corpos and it's utterly reprehensible that corpos are making you fight for what should just be the bare minimum. I'm am aware of the history of unions.

I understand the fear of conflicts on interest but I feel like there have to be better ways. I'm willing to admit I was wrong and am sorry for that. I'd edit the message if I could or delete it but I don't want to seem as if I'm dodging that. I will delete that message if you'd like.

I mean fuck's sake if the people negotiating all this aren't being paid for their hard work on the committee that's EVEN worse. You're even saying yourself they're putting in extremely stressful work and important work. The union can't provide compensation for that? How is that acceptable?

How am I spreading misinformation when it comes directly from the union and members themselves? Your union is fucking you, ya'll deserve better. I can't believe I'm having to argue that that the effected VA's and more should have stronger protections against AI period.
