Eurovision has always been a low key signifier of the state of international relations (as well as being silly and funny), so it blowing itself up over Palestine fits the current international state of affairs pretty well.

I read it as a harrowing excoriation of Cold War South America, but for children.

I think that says more about me than the book.

I was TA for a semester, and I sucked at it.

Every time I got this sort of nonsense I just gave it a bare pass without comment.

My goal was to get this person the fuck away from me as quickly as possible because they were obviously acting in bad faith.

They never rehired me. They were right.

Five animals that brought the wild with them:
Eastern brown snake in a classroom
Gecko living in my bedroom
Kangaroo in a suburban street
A fox living in Westminster
The rhinoceros my father and brother accidently pissed on at 3.00am because they couldn't be bothered walking to the outdoor toilet.

'Wear this magnet and your quarks will go up and down and cure your cancer! Just $1500!'

(Don't mention the strangelets, they'll mess up your chakras)

LLBD being the best of people in this episode. Humane, compassionate and moving.

This episode deserves an award. Masterful stuff.

News and comment folk don't seem to have hit on the most obvious reason Trump was nice - he was on a dopamine rush because he's just taken his weekly shit.

You should've held out for a cruiser.

Or, seeing as this was Czechoslovakia, a tank division.

I do not understand why a person wishing to be the person they feel themselves to be is a matter for public debate, let alone a matter for public policy (except insofar as it supports that person's choices).

There's no ideology here, just basic common decency.

This is an argument from the undead corpse of neoliberalism. It was all shiny and new in the 1980s, but the management rah rah! people were still very happy with Reagan, whose experience was in (checks notes) acting!

Does it still invent data and sources?

If you want it to work, it should not invent stuff. This is a basic obligation for people read stuff and turn it into straight English. It should be a basic obligation for LLMs.

Get back to me when your machine stops lying.

Does it invent data and sources? Yes it does!

Get back to me when you've solved the whole 'lying' problem.

I make this all the time! My daughter grew up taking it to school for lunch in a thermos. Great recipe.

Do they have a working sewer system yet?
November 15, 2025 at 9:24 PM
Well, we solved that problem - AI has not problem lying.

It's not just the policies and the destruction of the separation of powers. The loss of institutional expertise created by DOGE will take generations fix.

All that 200 plus years of steady accretion of knowledge on how to make basic services work gone in a couple of months.

The only good script for this: Labubus have nervous breakdowns after they find the huge skin tag under their left armpit says they are made out of basically oil. It's rated MA for harrowing existential crisis.

The sparked a memory. Long ago I was told Soviet icebreakers couldn't be used in the Antarctic because they couldn't cool their reactors during the tropical transition.

Hard to believe, but the source was reliable and the icebreakers were Soviet.

McKinsey must have a lot of lead in the water, because nobody who worked there seems to make the very obvious deduction that 'identity politics' is a pejorative for a lot of different people with common problems - poverty, discrimination, insecurity etc - with common solutions.

Question 1: Has AI ever invented evidence to support an argument?

Answer: Yes.

We're done here.
