Even if we ignore the negative social media bubble for Halo, I think MS has probably done enough damage to the brand that there's no chance this remake does what they want it to do.

I think Tenchi in Tokyo feels like a shock if you roll right off of Universe. Its different, its lower budget, & they make weird faces.
Its also a deconstruction. They already feel like a family at the start, and the drama comes from tearing that family apart.
It works as a response to TM tropes.

Silent Hill f has a story dripping with symbolism, an unreliable protag, family drama, a community who makes offerings to the old gods, an "other world", even a UFO ending.
