So they make up BS comparisons to make people THINK they need it because it’s “revolutionary” when it’s barely better, let alone noticeable, to most people. But if they can make you think you need it, they can milk another $1000+ out of you to balloon their profits.

I don’t think they really care. They are trying to give gaming consumers a reason to further fund number cruncher (AI/ML) tech. RT cores work great for that stuff, and since raster performance doesn’t help the bottom line as much they need gamers to want for the tech they are actively developing.

Also with no military you aren’t going to stop people from overthrowing you. Make them poor and dependent on you then draft them into your protection for basically free and you have loyalty through necessity. Most people will do the minimum to survive rather than fight for better it seems.
