Honestly it depends. I like the open ending of Dune 6, because in some way it was a way of Herbert to give conclusion where it needed and freedom to it's own characters.

I didn't watch them but well these movies are about a pair of sharlatans who basically created these stories and exploited them. if these movies had focused on their real side how they manipulated the media with that it would be more interesting to me.
