This administration disgusts me but because white supremacy and bold ignorance have a noose around so many people necks we lost most our options, scraped the bottom of the barrel for what was left and now it's festered and rotted into something I won't call my country. I didn't want this I didn't approve but you don't listen. You don't have to. That's the problem. How dare you make decisions for these lives, you didn't even know there family was here. Claim we don't understand when you didn't know they sought safety here. In the land of the free but you painted such a narrow picture A special narssism that tells you an all loving god would approve, an all loving god would forgive when you know exactly what you did. You saw the videos, heard the screams, and vote with no love, though your heart's affected. I'd warn of how you represent your ancestors but it's clear that's not the goal. Or would they actually be proud of the things you uphold. I guess some just want the power that was used to crush them, did your spirits say it's your turn to build worlds on another family's bones? Did they tell you your wealth was worth the blood poured? Did they convince you they're the ones you'll reckon with when your story is told? Did you tell yourself these lies so you wouldn't count the souls you'll atone for? The people being hunted, The children without a chance, The women in tears and in pain The men starved and afraid. Yes you'll suffer for each man too because you'd care if they were your sons. Tasked to protect and defend their people, their home only to be erased from even the world's sympathies. Disgust isn't enough to describe the sickness you're monstrous acts bring. And for once I won't be shamed out of showing my disdain. Because if hate’s a strong word, maybe it’ll overpower your ego, your selfishness, your cowardice, your apathy. I loathe what you’ve made of this country. I despise how you’ve left this world. And if you're what a free nation looks like, I'd rather the whole thing burn.
