Oops! All Draculas is a What We Do In The Shadows but as an RPG. Met the author at breakout and 100% got the game.

Haven’t really had time to get into it but is in the list!

I love the idea behind “You have one skill … the ability to fuck this up!” Because it is based around the tension of failure. You roll two dice and that’s the success number. You want to roll under in order to succeed. But that becomes the new success number.

Want to steal it for a horror game.

Moonlight on Roseville Beach. Picked this up @breakoutcon.bsky.social because the aesthetic kept drawing me in. You take three looks at a book you should probably buy it.

Mechanic is some kind of any kind dice where you assign what you roll to different effects. Setting is very romance pulpy.

Boldly Go! Is my favourite “Star Trek” game out there. The whole game mechanic runs on the idea that if you work together you can solve problems.

Ran 10 sessions of it and after a mid season break we are going to go back to it. Honestly all heart and more people should be playing it.

Marvel Heroic Roleplaying. I stand by that this is my most favourite use of Cortex and my most favourite Marvel RPG ever.

Character creation was so easy and fluid that people missed it because there wasn’t a huge set by step guide. Beyond that it made it easy to play Marvel characters too.

Dragon Quest second edition. 1980 printing. My friend Pierie introduced me to this game in my 20s and I have fond memories of playing it.

Magic system was my introduction to a backlash mechanic to magic. I was playing an earth mage who kept losing my ability to speak because I was bad at rolling.

Blowback. 2009 published date. Basically Burn notice the RPG but you played two characters, one spy and one normal person in their lives.

Couple of interesting things was the replanning of the bad guys defences and the push pyramid.

Excited that I got the proofs for the real time card fighting game I made with @cchunggames.bsky.social!

I have this card in my Arcades deck and the first time it hit the table I got looks.

9/9 Lonely Timbers by @genesisoflegend.bsky.social which is a game about lumberjacks working in logging camps in the northern Canadian woods. It's historical, it's touching, it's harsh, it's just generally fantastic.

ECH0 is a game about children who live in peace after a historical war who are playing around the rusting war mechs of a previous era when they come across a dead pilot who has been uploaded into an echo and you're going to bring them back to their mech to put them to rest.

The Droog Family Songbook. A contest from 1km1kt.net where you took two movies and mashed them together. This is the Sound of Music and A Clockwork Orange.
You play a member of the Von Droogs who are trying to keep their favourite things safe from the Nazis in Austria sometimes using ultraviolence.

Headspace which is Silver Ennie Winning @slavetothehat.bsky.social's cyberpunk #pbta game where you have a shared consciousness in a cyberpunk setting and you can use each other skills but your feelings that get triggered spill out just as much.

It's a fantastic game, and a great cyberpunk game.

Puppetland. I saw this originally in the 90s on the internet. This is the "new" illustrated version in 2016 was an instant back for me because it was one of those games I remember saying was awesome and all my friends looking at me like I had two heads.

I did, one was a puppet head.

WOLFSPELL! @epidiah.bsky.social's most METAL game ever. Basically you have been turned into wolves for a reason and it's your job to travel across a frozen wasteland and try to fix your curse. It's so metal it's printed on an album cover. I haven't looked at it in a while I need to fix that.

Dragon Quest is a very, very, very old RPG originally published in 1980. It's got a place in my heart because I remember playing this as one of my first fantasy games with friends. Percentile based. Experience required you to use the skill. Magic has a "miscast" chart.

Boldly go by @geoffquest.bsky.social! I talk about it a lot but honestly I love this game to pieces. It's such a good "Star Trek" game that someone once went up to Geoff and told him that the game was broken because if everyone worked together then they could overcome any obstacle ...

44: A Game of Automatic Fear by Matt Snyder is a 2009 game where you play people who are discovering that there are robots that are taking over the world in the 50s.

Sometimes the characters survive, sometimes they're replaced but you as the player will have a good time.
