Yes, Trump does give Putin cover, in effect weakening Ukraine’s position. I read it as Trump placing himself above Putin, implying Putin adjusts himself to Trump. He does, but not in the way Trump fantasizes.

I have the good fortune to live a few house away from some chickens, have not bought eggs through the crisis. This was at my grocery store on 5-9-2025. That may be down from the record $$ but is nowhere near affordable.
