Fed up with X. Just a bloke who's worried about the world the little girl will inherit.
You just have to ask yourself. If I was a leader responsible for the safety of my country for the next 20 years or so, is there any conceivable way I would tie that responsibility to the whims of the American voter.
And the answer will always be "no".

It can't return to normal. No matter who comes in after, European military and political leaders will never trust the USA again in any long term sense.

I lived in Grays in the mid 80s for a while. There was a lot of it about there.

It doesn't matter if the status quo was satisfactory or not, the fact is anybody voting for it was looking to improve their lot at the expense of someone else. There was no positive reason for voting for it that benefitted all.

I don't think it's "othering" in the slightest. It's just a fact. There was no positive reason for voting for brexit that didn't hurt or disadvantage someone already a UK citizen. At least not one I'm aware of. Whereas the status quo added no additional disadvantage at all.

(including my second home in France owning mother), who were perfevtly willing to hurt other people for a perceived but intangible gain. 2)

That's the issue in a nutshell. Everyone who voted for brexit knew it was going to hurt someone, but none of them believed it would be them. The fact remains that I find it difficult to remain cordial with those people, 1)

Why that picture?

No. But whoever follows immediately will be forced to call one.

Followed by mayoral election lost by labour and Starmer resigns.

I regularly imagine him nailed to a roof.

Bit more respect for manual labourers please. You'd be a bit screwed if your house was built by someone who believed you were better off out of it than in it.

Agree with this. But i still think some guidance from up top is helpful. I've got a 10 yr old and she uses devices all the time but not for social media sites. I'm dreading the day she gets her own phone wether she's 11 or 16.
