all of this to say i need more helena hate in my feed. because that smile she had while taking christopher hunts me. eddie deserves better and CHRIS deserves better than how helena treats them. (7/7)

basically all this dwindles down to he’s hiding his feeling so much, it exploits out of him (letting himself feel joy and dancing/dating kim), which is not new information but i think we focus to much on the catholicism of it all rather than loathing helena and ramon diaz. (6/7)

To add to that, the level of self esteem that eddie seems to possess is always an act because truly letting himself analyze what he’s criticizing about himself and what that means would lead to those repressed feelings coming out to the surface. (5/7)

or rather something he’s learned to praise or criticize about himself from his parents. This why i think that the catholicism is not necessarily the pinnacle of eddies repressed feelings but rather the obvious manifestation or explanation not the in-depth reasoning. (4/7)

So now he is doing what he learned from his parents but instead doing it to his child like his parents did to him, he’s doing it to himself. Only reacting when things get really “good”/“bad” and because of that he over corrects, when there’s something to praise or criticize. (3/7)

all i can think is that it’s because his parents probably didn’t react to anything he did unless it was really “good” or really “bad” and therefor their reaction were probably big (and that’s how eddie learned to give out praise/criticism.) (2/7)
