🌈🚂 I've got a friend down south with a car that needs some work before they can bail from their situation. They're looking for about $500 for car repair and another $200 for gas. I have $150 already and potential housing lined up.

I'm gonna say this again and again: If you have a room in your home and space in your heart to house a refugee fleeing abuse or facing homelessness, please consider taking someone on.
These are not malnourished children in Africa or Asia or some far away place, these are your neighbors, the staff at your stores, the friends of your nieces and nephews. We have political refugees fleeing from the southern states; People who have been fired for being authentically themselves, and no other reason; People who cannot find work because of who they are, regardless of qualifications. These are dire times for my Sisters and Siblings. I have people asking me for help EVERY DAY who have exhausted what meager support they can find. Is there risk? Yes, of course. But we exist in a world of cost and risk and challenge. Be an Ally however you can... and consider being a safe refuge or home for a friend you don't know yet. I exist. I will not stop existing because I am inconvenient. I will not be quiet, I will not be calm.
I exist. For myself. For my sisters and siblings living in fear and anxiety. For all my sisters and siblings back in the closet. For my sisters and siblings who will not survive. For my sisters and siblings who have died from violence and abuse. For my sisters and siblings who sacrificed for Human Rights, all giving some and some giving all. I exist. We exist. And together, we are stronger than anyone who doesn't know us can possibly comprehend. Together We Are Strong!
