We aim to recover freshly-fallen meteorites in New Zealand. We are a collaboration between NZ’s meteor camera networks and scientists at NZ's universities.
Good thought, but we got it from several locations so could triangulate. Initial calculations show it was asteroidal and orbited as far out as Jupiter. So a nice bit of space rock.
