For best results, yes. But there is also the understanding that some pumping is better than no pumping. Of course don't take that too far because once a day isn't going to cut it either.

I had to be able to dry pump for 20-40 min (depends on double or single pumping) every 4 hours. It was really hard to find time to do this when I wasn't working remote.

It took me about a year once I dedicated the necessary time. But I was finally able to induce a few years ago.
