Great performance of “Keli” from National Theatre of Scotland - cuts to the core of community and musical culture. I am so proud of Whitburn Brass Band from my Constituency and also this work with composer Martin Green and what a stellar debut theatre performance from Liberty Black wow!

What a fabulous community led transformation at the once derelict Alloway tunnel - supported with Scot Gov funding the tunnel is home to a wonderful mural by Chris Rutterford capturing the spirit of Alloway and Ayrshire - congrats to all connecting communities with active travel

Retirement is a big decision and I have loved representing West Lothian and its various, strong and resilient communities but today I am announcing I will be retiring in 2026. With a full on 14 months to go I will continue to serve my constituents and support the First Minister.

Folk in Uphall are not happy that the local Labour Council in West Lothian want to walk away from their Community Centres with mass forced asset transfers, with that and closing swimming pools they want to take community out of our communities ! @MikeCarlinSNP

That was so much fun! Our Constituency Team office night out with a lovely meal at 1912 and then off over the road to ‘Oor Aladdin’ pantomime in the Reconnect Regal Theatre in Bathgate - great energy, sparkling funny script, characters and dancing - we loved it!
