Today I worked (I'm a temping chef) next to the national library of France and spent the whole day staring out the kitchen wanting to go browse.

My story started off in 2018 and it's just slipped sideways into 1942. Now I need a neat way to make it all tie together. Is it very reductive to do a timeslip novel? I feel those have been done to death (Highlander etc)

Any bilingual writers out there constantly fighting the battle to translate words in their head? My book is set in France, where I live and I am writing in English (my mother tongue) but there are SO many terms I don't translate on a daily basis!

Not going anywhere today apart from down the rabbithole. Another beautiful day and my book is so sad right now, I want it to be pouring with rain!
