Yes, that's correct, but in nurseries,if a few children have their birthdays in a week and cakes are brought in for sharing,toddlers could be having cake almost every day - not so good! A good nursery will encourage sharing of a favourite fruit. The kids still enjoy a treat but it's healthier!
