To come at it from the opposite direction, once you understand the rules of written and spoken language, you Can Just Outgrow Them.

Some days I feel like I miss being part of this kind of maintenance, then I remember that I have enough trouble getting sufficient sleep on a 9-5 schedule.

Our brains are designed to find patterns, unfortunately that means whether those patterns actually exist or not. Our job as responsible brain owners is to go through what it finds and remove anything without sufficient evidence before we share. Some folks didn't learn this.

I still haven't found a search that does what I actually want, which is be them, but without AI. So I'm just not bothering to change my search engine from the easy option.

Isn't Kagi Search already betting on AI, though, as a search engine? I don't trust them to to keep anything unpolluted or they would already have my money.

Around here, actual places you can go eat include Pho Sure and Pho Ever. But about 45 minutes away there IS a place named Pho Que, and they've got a pretty consistent 4.5 rating.

Not only is this technique entirely legit, it incorporates techniques that are key to the original Fettucine Alfredo from the original eatery that made it. They have an unfair advantage, though, because they can cook pasta in the same starch water all day.
