Still cannot believe it was Lidl of all places that had the perfect flowers in the perfect colour. Got some massive yellows to make up for it.

Yussss! Actually got up in time without feeling awful, made it to New Covent Garden Market and got me some flowers…

Wanted some really dramatic dark ones but they sold out (or read too ‘blue’ for the theme) so will keep an eye out on the street stalls.

I love it when speakers from the same linguistic groups make fun of others' idiosyncrasies like they're sooo different (in this case Dutch speakers and German, similar to how English speakers do, which goes round full circle having definitely heard Dutch/Germans do the same thing to English...)

I suspect I’m actually doing it wrong but I’m very happy I really seem to be improving my patio farming techniques…
On the left is a trough with a large spinach plant draped over the rightmost corner and a sage bush peeking from the left. The trough is dominated by large runner beans supported by a frame. The frame is connected by strings and poles around the corner of the patio so the beans have been able to grow continuously
