I'm reading Bradbury Weather by Caitlin R. Kiernan, her collected science fiction. She is a scientist ( paleontologist ) and multiple winner of the Bram Stoker & World Fantasy awards. I read anything she writes. #bookstoredogs

I finished The Splendid and the Vile by Erik Larson. I was struck by Churchill saying that it is very hard to rise again if you acede in advance but if you resist and are defeated, it's possible to rise again. I was also taken by how freely he showed emotion to everyone he met. #bookstoredogs
